hello
i don't have any information about "Real Application Clusters " or "RAC ENVIRONMENT"
where i can find useful information about that in web?
i refered to "http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14117_01/rac.101/b10765/toc.htm"
but it dont explain concepts
do i must install special version of oracle for creating RAC environment?
for example i don't have SRVCTL tool
or
in above reference in "Administering Services" section written this
"On the DBCA Welcome page, select the Oracle Real Application Clusters option and click Next."
but when i run DBCA (by type dbca in command prompt) in it's welcome page it hasn't
"Oracle Real Application Clusters" option ,why?

thanks

If you are completely new to 10g/RAC/Oracle, i would rather suggest
to start here (Oracle 9i RAC concept guide).
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/rac.920/a96597/toc.htm
Above is pretty basic 'Concepts' guide for 9i.
After a quick glance
check this (same, but 10g specific and very brief. Best resource to start with)
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/rac.102/b28759/toc.htm
Once you are familiar, this deployment doc is good source.
http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/rac.102/b14197/toc.htm
All the required docs are listed here
http://www.oracle.com/pls/db102/portal.portal_db?selected=3
You can find docs for specific OS. Pick yours.

First the cluster services need to be configured.
Did you?
If clusterserivces is up and available (lsnodes output will return all the participating nodes) and you have GSD Daemon up, upon invoking DBCA, the tool will identifiy all participating nodes and displays the option you are looking for.

Hi,

Please, first try http://www.oracle.com/database/rac_home.html
There you'll find concepts, demos and free resources.
Second: understand the pre-reqs before installing RAC, the software it's the some, runInsaller detects your configuration before lunching configuration tools.
Last: If does not matter the Oracle version, please try 10.2.0.3 not 9i.

Regards.
