SQL> revoke alter on GMPROD.SALES_DSA from DSABATCH;
revoke alter on GMPROD.SALES_DSA from DSABATCH
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01927: cannot REVOKE privileges you did not grant

I am doing this from SYS user.Still why it is not leting me ?I am new to Oracle.

Question is,
was the Alter privilege ever been granted to the said user?
Seems no.
Seems you are trying to revoke a privilege that was never granted
