Dear All,

I have installed Oracle 9.2.0.4 for Linux into my RedHat Linux 9, the installation is OK. But after then, I tried to start the database configuration assistant for building database, it could not started and gives error message as below :

/u01/app/oracle/jre/1.1.8/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/libzip.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference (libzip.so)
Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread
Could not create Java VM

Do anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Regards,

Shahid Farooq

Hi,

You have to apply a small patch no.- 3006854 to solve this problem. You can get it from metalink.
