Hi everyone. When I try to install Oracle 9.2 on RH 9,the OUI doesn't start with the following error.

[[oracle@server.example.com oracle]]$ Initializing Java Vertual Machine from /tmp/OraInstall/jre/bin/jre. Pleae wait...
/tmp/OraInstall/jre/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/libzip.so: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference (libzip.so)
Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread
Could not create Java VM

I tried setting LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 but it still doesn't work. Please help. Thanks

setting LD_ASSUME_KERNEL should fix that issue...
please check the env ( may be this is too dumb, but i do it alawys)

(in bash:) export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
(in tcsh:) setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.1
else
install the latest JRE
edit /install/oraparam.ini to reflect the JRE location
run OUI
