I am trying to build a web report that has a button to drill-down to another report. If I run this report in the Reports Runtime, the button works 100%. If I run it as a web report, the button does not do anything when clicked. Is this because you cannot have buttons on web reports? I am using the following PL/SQL to call the second report - srw.run_report ('report=myreport.rep').

you are not able to use buttons on web reports. at least not in 6i or older. i took the oracle reports training class and remember the instructor explicitly telling us this...just don't remember why it doesn't work.

In Reports, the buttone ONLY work with the runtime previewer. Obviously they don't apply to printed reports , but are only a developer tool.
