Hello ,

I have downloaded tar file for report server6i from http://download.oracle.com/otn/linux/forms/d2k6irelease2.tar for linux.
After unbtar , i found there is no script for installation and no how to install this product.
I read the linux_svr.pdf which comes with this tar file
it tells that you have to boot from CD and it will automatically install the product.
How can i make a bootable CD for this tar file ?
How to install this product on my machine?
I really appricate yous response.

hello

to install

cd <directory where you untar the file>
cd orainst
./orainst

i do this the install is ok but i have a problem after
to execute f60desm

tell me if it's ok for you after install

I am using the Demo Version of the report server,Even after I tried
to start the Service again and again it goes down after some 15 seconds giving an error that
the Repserver is shutdown.
I have tried restarting the NT server also
