Hi,

I'm trying to connect to an Oracle 7 database using my Oracle 9.2 server.

I'm running Win2k on the V9.2 machine and unix on the V7 machine.

I'm new to the V9.2 world, but in the past I would use oracle's "easy net configuration" program to set up a connection. Did Oracle get rid of this in V9? Is there anything I can use now that is similar?

I installed the client software too but no luck with that.

Please help!

Hi,

Use the NET Configuration Assistant.

BTW: Oracle9i and 10g cannot connect to Oralce7 databases anymore. You will just get "ORA-24439: Connections to Oracle7 server are no longer supported".

Best regards.

Frank
