i have not tried 7 and 8i versions.
BUT for 8 ,8i and 9i versions, i use the same 8 listener for all databases(ie..the lowest version).
are u trying to copy tables using dblinks?
[code]create table tab2 as select * from someuser.tab1@mylink;
????
that would work.
simple way is to recreate the table structure in target, create a csv flat file of data from source,
load the file into target using sql*loader.
if your actually trying to setup an REPLICATION ENVIRONMENT, that is VERY DIFFERENT CASE.
