Hello, I am trying to connect to a database through a FireWall. But I am not able to connect to the database and it gives me error ORA 12535 : TNS: operation timed out .
why?
I can tnsping the database,and the ports on the FireWall between client and database are all opened.
I can connect to the database without that FireWall.The OS is Windows 2000 advanced server,the database is Oracle 8.1.6.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

reconfigure CONNECT_TIMEOUT to be 0

Where do you put the CONNECT_TIMEOUT setting?
