I use oracle chinese version(I am chinese).My oracle SQL*Plus version is 8.0.5.0,I succeeded in connect to my database(in remote unix).But when I use SQL*Plus 8.1.5.0,I found I can't connect to database.I have modified TNSNAMES.ORA. But not success.I have to use the newer version because I can't find SQL*Load in old version.

Can someone give me a help? Thank you very much.

sir,

i think you install the oracle in two different path.please check these two tnsnames.ora file.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Yes,I installed the oracle in two path.I used the net8 assistant to config ,then modify it by myself.Now I uninstall old version.But I can't access to unix database.

Thanks.I have finished configuration.Because of the client version is new than server.In new version the SID can't accept '_'.I replace it with new.That's OK.
