iam working with oracle on win nt4 ,pls help me with IPC.am getting an error 12541 while trying to connect.
i have created a listener for ipc in server and is running..
also my client service is created
pls let me know if i need to follow an specifics for this connection.

Could you please post the entries in tnsnames.ora and listener.ora. Were you able to ping the database successfully. Here is an example you might want to try...
tnsping YOUR_TNS_ENTRY
replace your_tns_entry with your entry name and that should give you additional info.
