I want to connect to my company's database server, from home through my company's webserver.
Do i have to install a listener on the webserver listening to the database and to the web? If so, how must the listener be configured?
Is there another way?
Please help !!!

Angela ,

Now if your DB server And Web Server is in the same city/Country then you can get connected with DB server through dial up set up(analog line/digital line . You may need to install RAS(Remote Access Server) on your m/c , it's a WAN (Wide Area Network )

You need to either write a listener on the
db server machine or use the TNS Listener
provided by Oracle .
I am enclosing a URL for the TNS listener configuration
to help you on this one.

If you are connecting accross a WAN (routed packets)
then you need to install a RAS server on the Web server
machine.
