Hi, I am getting the below error, please help to fix the issue.

C:\>set ORACLE_SID=rman

C:\>rman target /

RMAN-00554: initialization of internal recovery manager package failed
RMAN-04005: error from target database:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges

Your current OS user is not in ORA_DBA OS group.
Can you connect with:
rman target sys/<psw>

Do you really have a database called RMAN? I mean, there is no reason why you cannot but I would imagine that it will lead to confusion.

I am not able to connect, If am trying to change the sqlnet ora with NTS then its working fine, but some end users are not able to connect the DB....

What errors do you receive? (RMAN-xxxxx, ORA-xxxxx)

Is this related to the previous question?
How many end users use RMAN?
Should be 0.

What DB are the end-users trying to connect to? Since this discussion is about an rman connection, one would assume you are talking about the rman database, but there is zero reason for an end-user to ever connect to an rman database .. or really even know of its existence.
