OraFolks, I did a 90 minute presentation for colleagues and clients based on my Understanding Indexes blog post on the OraFaq site.

Another colleague recorded the presentation and posted it on YouTube for the enjoyment of all. None of the information will be news to the experts in the Community Hangout forum, but I thought you might get a giggle from seeing a familiar name in an unfamiliar frame with a funny accent.

Some people spend their weekends climbing mountains, going to ZZ Top gigs, doing volunteer work at the cat shelter, even digging the garden. OraFAQ people watch videos about indexes.

Smile True, true, but I can't watch it in the office and I'm out for beers tonight and I'm taking my much better half out to dinner tomorrow night (woo hoo, we have a baby sitter!)
Oh, and Sunday night I plan on going back to my martial arts club after being out for a few weeks.

This Sunday, I plan on going to our dance club. We haven't been able top go for weeks. Problems with the dog: poor chap has needed continuous nursing. But at last we can leave him at home and go out for a couple of hours, to twirl around beneath the glitter ball.

Lucky you guys are. This sunday I have to stay awake and keep an eye on nightly batch process post the production on release activity during evening Sad Not much sad though, since I did some performance tuning for this release and I am curious to see its behavior in production. Fingers crossed.

Have a good weekend folks!

What is/was up with the pooch? hope he/she is on the mend.
What kind of dancing?
I've been out with a variety of wee niggly injuries (shoulder, lower back, hamstring) and I just don't heal as fast as I used to Sad

So martial arts is a therapy or passion for you. It must be an herculean task, lest you should be participating in wrestlemania Smile I am blackbelt in Taekwondo. I have a bitter experience as a school kid, I was beaten with one kick by a GIRL, and I was out of the tournament. Then it took 4 years to overcome that trauma Smile

On a lighter note, do you ever apply your martial arts skills on your manager(If you have one who doesn't know Oracle) Razz

We've been doing the ten standard dances (actually, not all ten - more like seven) for ages, and more recently Argentine Tango too. Been doing it since long before Strictly Come Dancing hit the small screen. No pictures, Lalit - we don't compete, so you won't find any. It is about all I can do now: since I broke a hip, things like football or climbing are out of the question.
The dog didn't break a hip, just a tibia, with complications. He had an external fixator (I'm not posting any pictures, I'm trying forget it) for nearly three months, it came out a week ago.
Well, that's it for today. I have to hang about here in St Andrews until the sleeper train for going back south. So I'm going for a walk, to see if I can find Hamish McHamish

Is Hamish the same Hamish McHamish of St Andrews: Cool Cat About Town? Wikipedia has a complete story.
