I want to if is it possible to retrieve all font name which are available in operating system using sql plus. If yes can anyone tell me how to retrieve it...thanks in advanced

Try on my PC:
M:\>c:

C:\>cd windows\fonts

C:\Windows\Fonts>dir *.ttf
 Volume in drive C is OSDisk
 Volume Serial Number is EA24-C97C

 Directory of C:\Windows\Fonts

10.06.2009.  21:43           774.476 arial.ttf

1) issue DIR command that redirects results to a text file
2) map this text file as EXTERNAL TABLE
3) issue SELECT against EXTERNAL TABLE

Redirect it to a file that is located in a directory you can write to. C:\Windows\Fonts, most probably, isn't the one to be chosen. Try C:\Users\... (on Windows 7).

You must be more specific. Are you talking fonts on database server or on the client who runs SQL*PLus. Suggestion you were given will work if you are looking for fonts on database server, or if database server and client are on the same box.

most folks do not have to mess with OS fonts to use sqlplus or forms.

What problem are you really trying to solve?

I need guys to create fonts dialogue form in replace of using this function Choose_font because it's not supported in oracle forms 12c?
How can I create an item list by the available fonts on windows to display in form and also the style to work when the users open the list to choose the fon and style and reflected on the screen!
