Hi

Got the below error from bdump which is a chkpt error log file,

ORA-00206: error in writing (block 3, # blocks 1) of controlfile
ORA-00202: controlfile: '/../control02.ctl'
ORA-27063: skgfospo: number of bytes read/written is incorrect
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 5: I/O error

Got the below error from bdump which is a lgwr error log file,

ORA-00345: redo log write error block 1652 count 11
ORA-00312: online log 3 thread 1: '/../redo03a.log'
ORA-27063: skgfospo: number of bytes read/written is incorrect
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 5: I/O error
Additional information: -1
Additional information: 5632
ORA-00346: log member marked as STALE
ORA-00312: online log 3 thread 1: '/../redo03a.log'

Findings:

I am unable to write/delete any files in the FS and got to know that the FS is corrupted.

Between, after the OS is recovered, since we have multiplexed both redo log files and control files, will the database be brought up by simply restoring the good files of redo and control file to the mirrored location during startup?

Thanks.

This is the first thing to do and check. It may work (and most often it does).
And if it does not work then you have to restore an old control file and recreate/clear the log files.
