Hi,

To investigate further on this error ,i want to find how many user connections got established
during the error time and their details like machine,username,program,status etc in database ?

AUDIT CREATE SESSION

or query V$SESSION while the problem occurs

Hi Black,

Let me rephrase my sentence.

Could you tell me how to find how many connections got established and their details like
machine , username etc.. for a specified time in database. ( say for example if i want to find connection details 2 hours ago )

Default DB configuration does not record these details.
If you desire to capture & record such details, then YOU must put into place code to meet your requirements.

your request is like trying to determine how your son drove your car while he was out with his friends last night.
The car does not log such operational details as delivered from the factory.

Logon is audited by default, so unless you have turned it off you'll find all this in the audit trail, look at dba_audit_session.
