Hi,

I have installed oracle 8.1.7 & till now i was working with single database. can anyone tell me how do i make another database work under same installation.
what r the changes that i need to make both the databases work simultaneously.

Hi,

You don't need to do any changes. Just create a seconde DB with a different SID. On the client side you have to add your new DB in the tnsnames.ora to be able to access it.
