I'm running Oracle 7.3.4. on HPUX 10 and I want to recreate a view with a slight ammendment in the columns used.

What's the best way of retrieving the sqltext of a create view command.

I've tried selecting text from dba_views but the text is truncated. I tried using the format command to set the length of the displayed column > than the text length.

I guess this is just some issue with how to use sqlplus to retrieve long text columns.

Can anyone help me ?
