I am University student form Malaysia. I really need your help for one question which related with my cource work.
the question is below :

1.Which application file in the informix and Oracle database is ised to send parameter to the database. I know isql.exe in MS SQL server is used for this purpose.How about the Informix and oracle.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

sqlplus is used to send queries to an Oracle database. With Oracle versions 8i and 9i sqlplus can also be used to manage a database.
the file "init<SID>.ora" holds oracle startup parameters. the default location of this file is $ORACLE_HOME/dbs on UNIX systems.
