I've installed ORACLE-8.1.7 on Solaris(Intel).
The problem occurs when I'm trying to create a database:
-Creating ORACLE instance ---OK
-Creating database files ---OK
-Initializing the database --error
ORA-03114:Not connected to ORACLe

Futhermore file sid.log in [[Create]] directory contains
"ORA-03113 end of file on communication channel".

How to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance.

It's possible that you don't create de Listener (a net service ) or that the listener isn't run.

but I didn't know that there was a Oracle version for Solaris(Intel).

What errors are you getting in the alert log? The file is in your bdump directory. Also check trace files in udump, bdump, and cdump if there are any. Did you following the instructions in the installation guide on kernal settings for Solaris? Did you get any errors during the installation? Did you patch 8.1.7.0 to at least 8.1.7.1?
