Hi ,

I am using Oracle 8.1.7.
when i try to import a dmp file ,I am getting the following msg, originally it was exported by sys user.

Export file created EXPORT:V08.00.05 via conventinal path.

Warning: the objects were exported by SYS, not by you.
import done in WE8IS08859P1 charecter set and WE8IS08859P NCHAR character set.
export client uses US7ASCII character set (possible charset conversion)
export server uses US7ASCII NCHAR character set (possible ncharset conversion)
import terminated successfully without warnings.

Could please help me for this ASAP.

Thanks

Do you have the system password? If so
imp fromuser=? touser=? file=x.dmp

you will then get prompted for the username to import as, this is where you use system<systempwd>
