Database in Windows 2000 is running as service. When creating database using script, how can I add the service? I tried to create a new db using script, but it ended up creating clone database. After I create the database, I could create rollback segment using no system tablespace. Should I do some setting in the registry or environment variables? Thanks.

You should create another instance before you create a new database. Use ORADIM to create the instance from the command line.

I.E:

C:>oradim -new -sid dbname -intpwd dbpassword -startmode auto/manual -pfile path/to/init.ora

Hope this helps!
