My Database is in Archive Log Mode. I am migrating around 2000 records from 2 tables to other 8 tables by running the script to migrate data. It is creating lot of archive log files (around 402 mb, I have a problem of system crashing, if I migrate more than 7000 recs). How do I reduce this size. Should I change the script for optimazation or should I do something on the server.

Hi,

You can stop the archive log while migrating the records and then startup the archive log.

May wanna try 'nologging' while copying records to antoher tables. This option has minimal overhead during the process.
