hi ,everybody .when i configure a listener using net manager,if found that the red text box in the picture can fill "the value of the global name " or "the value of the service_names".
is that right ?

I don't use netca so I don't know what I am looking at.
No listener.ora file is required to exist.

log onto DB Server
issue follow commands

lsnrctl status
lsnrctl service

COPY commands & results then PASTE all back here

rephrase your question & I will try to answer it

I think global names cause nothing but confusion. I would remove the line completely.

yes, in fact the whole file can be removed.

i'm try removing the listener.ora file,but the result is the listener don't work .
after i'm removing the file,i run the following command:
C:\>lsnrctl start

at last,fail.
