I have received Oracle 8i Enterprise Edition Release 2 Version 8.1.6 From Oracle Corporation as part of my OTN Membership.
I would like to Upgrade the same to Oracle 8.1.7 because I need to import one DMP File whose export has been taken in Oracle 8.1.7.
Is there any way I can get the Freedownload of the Oracle8i 8.1.7 or some Upgrades from any load sites.

Thanks

Keshav

Keshav,
You can download Oracle Version 8.1.7 from the OTN website (http://technet.oracle.com)

Hi,
u can download from downloads in www.oracle.com after providing your username and passwd of otn.
if it is not accepting them then for free u can create a username and pwd.
thereafter , u can download whatever version u wish to.

Dear Keshav,
My apologies that Oracle 817 is no longer available for download. It was the last time I checked and that was the reason that I mentioned it to you. I had downloaded 817 from there and hence my recommendation to you.
If that's gone, the only other option may be to order a CD Pack from Oracle. Else I'll try to give you an alternative source from where you can obtain the same. Until next time,

Best wishes,
Rajesh Aialavajjala
