Hi,

To have physical standby database, the hardware and software versions should be same, including patch sets?

Also please give the url link to Oracle documentation describing the same.

Thanks, but sorry I forgot to mention .... I asked hardware and software requirements for creating a manual physical standby database and not for Data Guard.

Data Guard (in physical way) and physical standby can be seen as synonymous from the installation point of view.
