what is the difference between v$backup_corruption and v$copy_corruption

The views will be populated with the addresses of blocks found to be corrupt during and RMAN copy or an RMAN backup, that is why the columns refer to either a backupset or a copy. May I suggest that you look up the definition of v$database_block_corruption as well? This is often more useful, because it will include both.
