I am very familiar and confident working with Oracle but the one grey area I have is creating a database instance.

I know how to connect a PC to an Instance via Easy-Net Config but I don't know how to initially set up a new Instance from scratch once the database has already been installed.

Can somebody please advise as this would really help me.
