hi,
I tried following sql statement on oracle8 sql prompt on unix os.
select 749.1/749.1 from dual;
To my shock the output shows
741.9/741.9

-~
Please answer the question

It seems there is nothing wrong in it. But try it with in brackets. It should work out with the output 1.
