I installed Oracle Developer in my NT machine.
It is asking for Host string/Database and log in and password.
I entered the host string /username (found in the tsname.ora file)but it is asking me the password.
Can anybody tell me what is the username /password / host string that I should enter.Also,I want to find how do i alter the .ora file so that it accepts scott/tiger and host string some thing like ATLAS.

Hello ,
I want to learn Oracle Please help me out .I insatled the Oracle 8i.
I tried to enter the username and host string (given in .ora file )
but what password do I use.there is no password in .ora file.
Also I tried by changing the glogin.sql file and enetred
connect scott/tiger@atlas .
When I tried to connect it gave me error
"NO LISTENER" What is this error.
What do I do now please let me know .
What changes do I make so that I can use above login and host sring .Any help is appreciated .
