Be sure you are using the correct shells. On Solaris, cron jobs run in the default bourne shell. If the oracle user has a different default shell then the proper startup files won't be sourced and you won't have the correct environment. One way to fix this is to specify the shell in your script. If, for example, your oracle user's default shell is csh then add "#!/bin/csh" to your script.
