I would like to set up os authentication for a user which belongs to a domain different from the domain where the database server is. The o/s is windows NT, database is 8.1.5. I have set up authentication_services=(NTS) in sqlnet.ora on the server. I have included a registry key in the oracle_home for 815 for domain prefixing (osauth..prefix) and set this to true. I have also created a user account on the database (domain\username) and granted connect and resource privs. However, when I try to connect using sqlplus \@connect_string, it still asks for a password and sometimes I get ora-1017.
Any ideas???
