I am new to Oracle. One of my friend who attended an interview last week for Oracle Jobs. The interviewer asked my friend, "Can you tell me difference between "Oracle Reports" and "Oracle Report Writer".

He said both are same to the person. I asked him to get the information on that in Oracle sites. That's why I posted this question here.

Can anybody explain to me about this please.

tks in advance,
Srinivasan Madhavan.

I might be wrong, but I believe that "Report Writer" used to be Reports 1.0. The name is no longer used officially with Report products, but some people still refer to Oracle Reports as Report Writer.

Some of the older crowd out to confirm this.
