Trigger to display a message at Logon [message #36594] Wed, 05 December 2001 11:44 Go to next message

I was wondering if it is possible to have a message displayed when a user logs into SQL+ using a trigger. I have seen after logon triggers, but they always insert a value to a dummy table. I have tried DBMS_OUTPUT to print the line, ensuring the serveroutput is on, but the message does not print.
Your help is appreciated.

Trigger log on -
They can be used to run any appropriate initialisation routines such as altering the CURRENT_SCHEMA or turning on/off debugging and/or tracing options.
