hi all,

we do syncing process everynight ie transfering the generated logs from promary database to standby database .

we also take Rman incremental backup everynight which includes the changed blocks from previous backup.

we also take full backup at the week end.

Kindly let me know the difference in all these 3 backups??

1) is not a backup
2) is an incremental backup
3) is a full backup

If you are taking all those "types of backups", you should really know the difference already.

Check Types of Oracle Database Backup under RMAN.
